More than 1,200 Soil Samples: Kicking Off the GOV4ALL Soil Sampling Campaign
More than 1,200 soil samples across 15,000 agricultural hectares within a territory of over one million hectares? It might sound ambitious, but at SAE Innova, in collaboration with Esférico, we're excited to share that the GOV4ALL soil sampling campaign is now officially underway.
This initiative spans the agricultural regions of Noroeste de Murcia, Los Vélez, Huéscar, Alto Almanzora, Altiplano de Granada, and Guadix. Across these territories, diverse crops flourish: fruit trees, vineyards, olive groves, arable lands, and citrus.
Months of planning, logistics, and training have set the stage for this campaign. Over 1,200 soil samples are being collected, each holding a wealth of information about texture, colour, nutrients, density, and carbon content. These samples aim to become the cornerstone for region-specific evidence-based sustainable practices.
The People Behind the Samples
Behind every sample, there's a dedicated person walking the fields, collecting data, and ensuring precision in every step. In this first stage of the campaign, our team includes David López covering Noroeste de Murcia, Jesús Torcuato Giménez and Jesús Carmelo Giménez covering Guadix, and José Antonio Navarro covering Los Vélez. Each of them has been equipped with tailored sampling kits and has undergone specialised training designed to optimise, streamline, and ensure accuracy throughout the sampling process.
Their dedication and expertise are the driving force behind this campaign, turning data points into meaningful insights.
